Among the many folk arts of Kerala, tOlpAvakoothu (leather puppet play / ancient shadow puppetry)
is a ritualistic art form performed in specially made theatre (koothu madam) in front of temples. (see

Under the aegis of
Kerala Folklore Akademi and
